Pik was born sometime after Thaegan's return to Deltora. Its father, it there was one, is unknown. It and its twelve siblings roamed Deltora's northeast, terrorising the countryside.[2]
The Deltora Book of Monsters
Pik and its siblings captured a group of travellers on the road and ate all but one before falling asleep. The man was able to escape, though he had no memory of anything before the incident. Josef met this man, and learned from him information on Thaegan's children, which he used in his book.[2]
Pik, Snik, and their nine surviving siblings — Hot, Tot, Fie, Fly, Zan, Zod, Lun, Lod, and Ichabod — join forces to seek vengeance on Lief, Barda, and Jasmine for the deaths of their mother and siblings. As wolves, they pursued the companions and caught them in a net trap. However, Lief tricked them into fighting one another over how to divide up the three. The fighting became lethal, and Pik and all its siblings died, except for Ichabod.[3]
Physical Appearance
Pik was covered in long brown hair, like its twin Snik.[2]
In the anime it had goat-like characteristics and a long tail.
Abilities
Pik had shapeshifitng powers that allowed it to take on the form of a wolf, and possibly other forms.[3]
Anime
Pik's role in the anime was expanded, along with the rest of its family. Pik, Snik, Zan, Zod, Lun, Lod, and Ichabod all agreed to help Thaegan after she was revived a second time by tormenting the companions inside her Mirror of Fear. He and Snik tormented Barda with an illusion of Prandine.
He was ejected from the mirror with the rest of his siblings once Lief broke the spell, and watched as the companions defeated Ichabod. Lief then showed Thaegan her reflection in the mirror, which sapped away her magically induced youth. Refusing to live old and ugly, Thaegan committed suicide. Pik and the rest of his siblings, both alive and dead, followed after her, since they refused to live without her.
Trivia
Pik's gender is unknown, but it could be the "hairy brother" mentioned during the siblings' brawl.
