Lyon worked as a servant in the Keep of Weld, filling the inkwell in the Volunteers waiting room used to sign the Volunteer Statement among other things.
The Golden Door
Lyon had promised to bring Annocki, in the guise of the Warden's daughter, a sketchbook which she had ordered two days prior. Having not not received it, Annocki complained at two Keep soldiers positioned in the Volunteers waiting room that Lyon was not present, while Rye was waiting there for the Warden. One of the soldiers said that he must have gone to his meal and that he had surely been there before. The second soldier confirmed and said that Lyon had been filling the inkwell in there. Annocki clicked her tongue and ordered the soldiers to see to the delivery of her sketchbook at once, and they both agreed apologetically. After nnocki had left the room, slamming the door, the first soldier complained that someone should tell her that the Keep soldiers worked for the Warden of Weld, and not his "useless daughter."
