Doran encountered them and recorded them in his field-guide, Secrets of Deltora.[1]
Cavern of The Fear[]
When Lief and Barda were searching for Jasmine in the forests of the Os-Mine Hills, they found Butter Moths circling around a hole in the ground. The hole, which led to an underground forest where the Butter Moths nested, was the secret way to the subterranean caverns containing the Pirran Islands.[2]
Behaviour[]
Butter moths seem to behave the same as any other moth, and are not afraid of humans.[2]
Appearance[]
Butter moths are fat, gold-yellow coloured moths.[1]
Habitat[]
Butter moths live in the Os-Mine Hills, within Topaz territory.[1]
Diet[]
Butter moths behave like butterflies, drinking nectar to sustain themselves.[1]
